Kalikova & Associates’ lawyers have been actively involved in the creation, development, and organization of major investment projects in Kyrgyzstan in the fields of banking, microfinance, hospitality, telecommunications, gold mining, mineral exploration, aircraft leasing, energy (including electric power), tobacco, glass, and cement production, among others. Our responsibilities include advising clients on business organization matters, including choosing the most appropriate legal structure for their company; incorporating and registering companies; establishing and formalizing relationships with local partners and government agencies; complying with legal requirements (licensing, certification, taxation) for operating in a particular sector; formalizing and securing financial transactions; obtaining land rights; hiring foreign and local employees; and a range of other issues related to organizing and running a business.

We strive to build a solid legal foundation for our clients to successfully conduct their business in Kyrgyzstan. Our lawyers have repeatedly participated in the drafting of investment agreements between foreign investors and the government. At the request of clients, our lawyers have repeatedly conducted legal due diligence for local companies. Our legal opinions on the status of local subsoil users and the validity of their licenses have been accepted by stock exchanges in England, Australia, Canada, and China for the public offering of corporate securities.
